Vysis Inc., a biotechnology company, set forth to move their paper- based catalog to the web. With distributors and customers all over the world, a universal access point for product information made sense.

After months of design and content conversion, a database version of the catalog was released. Within a month of its release, new products were being added to the web database while the paper-based catalog was already rapidly becoming outdated.

After months of new data additions and some additional augmentation, it was realized that a low cost distribution alternative could be achieved by extracting the web database content onto a CD-based platform and distributing the CD on a quarterly or even a monthly basis if needed.

Information that is more current is now delivered in multiple formats with a minimal cost.
